Guys from the stove store showed up yesterday afternoon to put an extension on the new chimney that was installed last summer along with the new Lopi insert. They added 3 feet of height and I cut out some of the restrictions on the cap. I had to get that work done before I could resume burning. I had a draft problem and smoke pouring into the house on a reload. This should cure that problem. Now it is almost too warm to have a fire. It got to the mid 60's today.

Now I'm working 11-5 Friday. That makes 52 hours this week and 3 weeks with no day off. I'm happy.

Everyone is getting sick of our assistant manager. Myself included, but gotta pay the bills

Don't be shy to share your feeling here. We are a family. Most of the time, we are well behaved. You are never alone here. I lost my brother two weeks ago tomorrow. It was hard but made more tolerable by sharing with my friends and their response with prayers. I swear I could feel the prayers reaching me. They comfort us. Reach out anytime you feel the need, want company. etc.

You can endure that kind of treatment while you are young, but beware of burn out. I used to grab all the overtime I could get when I was bringing up 4 kids. Couldn't get to many school event, but the kids didn't go without.

When you're younger, going at that pace isn't an issue- if it's physically active work. Just don't take the work home with you, that's where it kills you, especially if you have to manage paperwork and such.

Thanks Eric, I found something similar in my LibreOffice (freeshare MSoffice) but appears I do not have that option. Going to update it and see if that option shows up. Idk, it's a tiny rural school, but......:picard:

ETA Eric VW , previous PTA gal emailed me a correct copy. LibreOffice update still downloading. Ugg, I was proficient at this stuff years ago but I don't use it now. Thanks Friend :)

Went to a meeting today, where my Commissoners wanted me to add three more body cameras for some staff. I don’t have to do squat if I choose not to, but they are good to us.

Left the meeting with nine cameras and the promise to buy me a drone with FLIR and gps linking. I took an online negotiating course from Jussie Smullett’s lawyer.

Sounds like it was the day for it...I got my mini forklift stuck today too!
I walked back to the main stack to see if the yard was solid enough to move some wood around...and it was surprisingly solid...so I go get the forklift and an empty wood rack...then proceed to drive to the stack...but a different route than the one I walked...big mistake! :headbang:
Apparently the frost just recently came out of the ground on the north side of this stack...and it was really soft there! So a jack, some plywood, and 4 stuck/unstuck episodes later, I was finally ready to move some wood...and only 1.5 hrs. of spring sunshine wasted! :hair:

Or front truck logo for seeing it through the rear view mirror!  Pretty much melted here and warm-you too? Insane short bidding notices and work days (literally the 20 hour days you've worked) slowing down?

On a different note Eric VW , recall the parabola lense from my stainless steel bowl that was lighting potting soil on fire? Did not think about that, using a 4" bowl from the same set for feeding 2 cats outside here, went to fill it today and it was HOT. I don't know if cat food catches on fire but I'll find a new bowl for them, thought you might get a chuckle.

Starting tomorrow, we have a pontoon boat for use in the intertidal area for 3 days. Should be a bunch of fun. Today was a beach day. I went swimming in the ocean after playing some beach football. The ocean was rocking today.

Warming up here a bit also, still have a bunch of dense snow on my back area/north face of the hill. Did about 70 hrs. on prints last week but got them done. On track to be about the same this week but almost finished. Have a condo unit to finish tonight, then I'm good with the big stuff for a bit (I think.) The Wyo. job is going well, you all can check it out if you want- it has a live-cam- www.brushcreekranch.com/thefarm/ go to "view construction" or something like that, just have to scroll down a bit. The boys have been busy. If you have the time, you can go through the start-to-current footage in a montage. The storm footage is pretty cool.

upper left has an (=) icon, that takes you to the montage.

It was warm enough on our walk Tuesday morning that we heard frogs croaking. this morning the temps were too cold for them to be out that early.
