We have lots of snow here, always the last to loose it. Good thing is most of the ice has melted off the driveway except for just in front of the doors. All the ice on my ramp is gone. We didn't get thick ice until a month ago. Then it got cold again and the ice stuck. Overnight lows are still in the teens. In town there are yards without a lick of snow.

I finally got it finished. The sky was easier than the main part of the puzzle. It is a very pretty picture.

In NH, to ride on non-private land, you need to have an ATV registered and a sticker displayed. The funds go back to support trails and rider safety education.

it is a newer law. I think maybe 4-5 years ago?? before that a sticker was all that was needed to ride trails just like a sled.

yep. we have that too. neither are needed if you don't leave your property. both are needed if you leave the property and ride trails, and I think if you don't ride trials, but leave your property the you ca just buy the sticker. confusing enough??

It is hard to believe but there are very few of them around here this year. We've seen a couple but none at our place. Saw bunch of red winged blackbirds on our travels this morning. Saw a killdeer last week a few miles from us. But all in all, very few spring birds so far this year and this is late for it to happen. Not sure what this means.

Garlic salt and this stuff. 225 for 4 and 1/2 hours in a covered pan and it was a bit to long. Normally, I do them on a grill/smoker with a ho-made rub for anywhere from 8-12 hours, but as I grow older and less enthusiastic, I look for short cuts....like stopping at bbq joints!

Beautiful day. 55* and not a stick of firewood made. Started the day out replacing the battery and an exhaust manifold bolt on the Mini. Battery replacement went ok. Bolt replacement I bought the wrong size.
I have been eying a downer that is in my lower pasture. It just may be dry enough to get it cut today. Gassed, oiled and changed the chain. Loaded everything in the Mini and went out back. The pasture looked to wet. Like a fool that I am I drove the Mini to the bottom of the hill to turn around. Immediately buried it up to the frame. quarter of a mile round trip to the house to fetch couple of pieces of cut ply wood. Need more so another trek. Mini ran out of gas so another trip to the house. Needed more wood to crib in the mud.
Using the hydraulics, I was able to move the skid steer about an inch. Who says you don't learn anything from TV. Saw that on Gold Rush. Finally got all wheels onto the plywood. Up to the house to fetch some more plywood.
3 hours later the Mini is up the hill. Loaded the bucket with stuff and took it to the shop. Another trip to get the plywood. I sure in h!!l wasn't going to drive to the bottom of the hill. Toted plywood up the hill and loaded it on the mini. For some reason, all desire to make wood today left me. Popped open a beer, supper is ready and then off to the granddaughter softball game.
