Couldn't you take the logs out of that opening, and put the pail inside there?

    That would be cool.

Having an auger feed to bring the stuff up from the basement and deliver it to the little cubby hole and into the bucket would be even better.

    Ahhhh yess...wishes..wishes...wishes

I have had folks walk over to the stove and then actually touch the wall just to see if it's real.

I was going to use the air brush and shade in the areas along the sides to give the graphic a serious appearance of depth.

Ah well....fresh out of round toooits ya know..

Got more work done on the new MUNCHER

    Frame tubing cut to length.

    Ordered the pillow block bearings.

I need to get the steel angle for the legs.

Get a day or so of dry weather and I should be able to stomp this thing together pretty quick.

Well, the stove is on auto. Just started for the first time today. I think it went on twice last night. Loving it! Today was nice but yesterday got me thinking about the old shovelhead that's sitting in my sister in laws garage. I've gotta pop the carb off and see if I can get get the dried old gas out of some of the smaller passages. It runs great then something gets broke loose and it runs bad until I take the carb off and clean it out. I think if I soak it for a few days in Super Clean then blow it it out, it may stay clean. Kinda cool that I'm thinking of it now....Spring's here!

Strange set-up for the exhaust passage, reminds me of the furnace I bought. The straight 1/4" steel pipe exhaust going through a entrance closet and out, stove piping around it for the air inlet which made a booty warmer

Out for delivery, wife's travel iron for her quilting trip and a bit of freedom for the poor suffering bear. I'll have to stock up on bad things like sausage and such. Nothing like 4 tubs of ice cream to raise the good ole LDL, right Larry?

    Yes it is.
The Prodigy I and Prodigy II were odd ducks in the Whitfield lineup.
The Waterford Erin used the guts from the Prodigy.

The first series (Prodigy I) did not have an exhaust fan and required a tall chimney to operate.
There is also a small shunt tube from the room air plenum that feeds into the fire pot to assist in combustion air.

The Prodigy II saw the addition of a different top casting and an exhaust fan and motor was added.

Strange set up too with a very looooooooong shaft that sticks into the exhaust housing.

The hopper has a sheet metal valley that traverses the top of the hopper and has a 1" thick spun ceramic blanket that lays between the exhaust casting and fan housing to shield the hopper from the high heat of the exhaust.

Some pix of the inner works

The Prodigy was discontinued in favor of a more traditional design type.

Other than a few minor idiosyncrasies the P2 has been a great stove.
Simple and compact, fit the space we had well, and with the high mount exhaust it was perfect for the available space outdoors for the exhaust vent.

Trying to locate a stove in a corner or A SPOT that was workable turned into more work than the actual install.

Safety, meet regs. and have the stove in a place in the room that was not objectionable.

The wall to the right of the stove (Looking at the stove) has a complete deck and a vent was a serious hazard to navigation and would not be within proximity specs to combustibles or ???

The area above the stairwell was far enough away from combustibles, windows and was not going to get hit by anyone climbing the steps....

Areal PITA to get this one located.

A low exit vent on the stove would have been a NO GO situation due to the fact that the vent would have been right in the travel space on the stairs.

    The things kids will say!

So 2 and 1/2 year old Grandson Landon is out on a little walk with Kathryn and me the other day. His nose is running - snot down to his lip.

Grandma says " Landon, your nose is running. I think I have a tissue"

Landon promptly licks his upper lip.

I say " how did that taste?"

    Landon replied "deeeeeeeelicious"

    We were in stitches laughing:rofl: :lol::rofl: :lol::rofl: :lol::rofl: :lol::rofl: :lol::rofl: :lol:

I refuse to even see one of those, you can't have those eat this pill insteads, only to find out in a year or two that the pill 1. actually does nothing or 2. kills half the people on it. Better to enjoy the known poison food.
