2 questions, please. Why are you splitting it for an OWB? I'm sure you know already that the bigger chunks will last longer than splits. Even with my bad back. my chunks are larger than those splits.....just wondering anyway. 2nd question is don't you think the drive would be shorter for you if you just drive over to the pile of wood in the background by the silver SUV??
He burns the chunks & uglies that can't be sold as firewood. In that scenario, you burn whatever is there.
What I burn in the boiler is all of the junk I can’t sell. All wood is processed and stored at my moms farm which is ten minutes from my house. The boiler wood gets stacked up under cover and I grab some when needed.
I had probably read somewhere that you did sell firewood, but my memory being what it is and ……… Hey, look! A quarter on the floor! ……..
yooperdave, jrider is a school teacher that cuts splits and sells 100+ cord a year!! We are starting a petition for him to be a role model for all high school students
Yep, real slacker that guy is. I think I read he did 150 cord last year. Class act all the way. Hey jrider wanna grade my chunks & uglies pile I just hauled up to the boiler. Nasty stuff, but it burns.
Last year I was a slacker...only got 115. I am aiming at 150 for this year. I do hire some students to help out. I’m not a true one man band. Teach em with the book AND with the hands.
