18 and 78 just getting ready for a reload. The temperature got into the 30’s yesterday but the wind chill was low 20’s and there was no melting despite the sun. Less wind today with similar temperatures so maybe we’ll lose a little more snow. Now they’re predicting rain Thursday night and Friday with snow up north so we could see some flooding.

22° here, heading to the low 40's, but we can't shake that wind. The melting is slow but steady. Most of the yard is snow free, except the piles, and the pool has thawed. I might throw the pump in to bring the level down before we get more rain. I got a bag of white clover seed for the bare patches in the lawn that never seem to grow grass. But I think it's too early yet to put it down.

Another nice day rolling in, currently -2 c or 28 f and heading way above normal to +9 c or 48 f this afternoon. Might be a little windy though. It almost feels weird to not be running the stove 24/7...I just might clean the stove glass, as I'm not sure if I did yet this year.

I was really looking forward to this week as they had predicted no rain or snow at all for all week. How quickly things can change... That was Monday morning but by afternoon they put snow in the forecast but it did not amount to much. Now they have rain for tomorrow and tomorrow night.

What's with the fools. They attempt to forecast a week or more ahead of time and even give predictions of something like, "Rain between 9:00 and 10:00 then again after 2:00." And that is for a week ahead. Then they can't forecast 1-3 days with much accuracy... I admit that sometimes they do a great job but they do get ridiculous thinking they are so good then they look absolutely terrible. I'm sure it is worse if you watch tv, which I don't.

Sun is shinning today. Still, the upper 30's is as high as we got. But, the roofs in the area are starting to melt and soon will be bare!

No robins yet as there still is no bare ground available.

I took a few vacation days. We rode the snowmobiles from the house up into to mountains, to the fire overlook for the town.

Got up to 50 again today in the sun. Was pretty nice. They say a "sneaky" cold front is coming for the weekend after they predicted almost 60. Like Dennis said, why do they bother with seven day forecasting. I don't care if it's 20 or 50 as long as the sun shines. Oak in the boiler again.

I hear the calling everyday. Told a young man about possibly moving up there today. He said "why, there's nothing to do" & went back to looking at his phone. Pretty sad.:picard:
