    WANTED
    HITMAN FOR RACOON

    DESCRIPTION: Large, gray/black/white

CRIME: Frequently injures domesticated dumped cats less than 1/2 his size

Poison will possibly/likely kill the dumped cats here (specifically the two previous neighbor that now moved was feeding and we became fond of after following her here while helping me clean), trapping will end up with a one of the many stray cats on this peninsula in there as well. WWW is not into killing Geese/coons/does w fawns. Long story but many can fill in the blanks.

You must be setting out food for the strays? If that is the case, do you also set out water? (As I'm sure you know, racoons need water to help them eat/swallow because of the lack of salivary glands.) I wonder if something as simple as removing the water would have some impact of that racoon showing up? Probably not, but may be worth a try.

I did not know that Dave, thought they just liked cleaning their hands lol. Yes, I put food out for them, but not water, figured they go to the cove for a drink if they needed to, will start bringing the food in at night now and see if that helps any. Stupid people that dump cats out here, grrrr.

Dixie had a really hard day today, so after supper tonight she succumbed to the pressures of life and decided that she needed to recharge her power supply............. IMG_6600.JPG

    Sorry for your loss Chvymn99.

We may be looking to adopt a dog in a few months so we scratched the itch and went to a shelter today. What an incredible place it was. They take in dogs from all over the country and the average stay is 4 days. They go so quickly. One of the staff said many of the dogs that were available today will be going home today or in a few days.

Seeing pictures online is one thing, but when meeting them in person and they come over and sit against the cage looking for a scratch is certainly an awesome moment. These pups just want to be in a good home and loved. We saw three that would have been great additions, but we need to wait.
