Not worth a chit today. Had an outage at 10 last night. Two nights of no sleep and minimal sleep during the day in one week can wear a man down. Not really complaining I love my job just putting it out there that I didn't get anything done yet today.

It was pretty nice today, near 60 degrees so I planted a few flowers. Only ones I can take in at night or the ones in window boxes just in case. It put me in a good mood to finally feel like spring might show up after all. Here's a couple pics...

Got in a little sleep this morning. I did go to the playground with the wife and boys. Got some kindling split, stacked some wood, played on the trampoline with the boys, fixed my and had a decent day. Got to hear my FIL say again that "oh that wood you just cut will be plenty dry after the summer." I tried to convince him for a minute to change and than said heck with it.

Yes. Love the man like my own father but a lot goes in one ear never slows down and right out the other. My wife seems to understand and I used to get kind of p oed about him telling me how to do things. Now I just go right on about my business.

Hehehe… I understand. Of course… I never say anything that might go right thru my SIL ears… Ha… I do try to only give solicited advice when he asks but, I'll bet I could offer more than I should sometimes, ya know, once in a while  All SIL's are in a tough spot… they're married to Daddy's girl… :D

Had a bit of hail here today. Been working on a few minor chores like getting the hoses all out and fixed up. As long as I have a 25' section that is solid I'll add an end or splice sections together. Have completed the around the foundation ant control measures. Got the last of the window screens in and the interior main floor storm windows taken down. Next up is the dehumidifier coming out of the closet and the table moving to the other wall, then the last four interior storms can go into the closet, note to self the boss has to get rid of more junk. Closet is running out of room.

Still have the patio door screen to install.

Hopefully by next month I can manage to fix the garage ceiling (plumbing issue required a hole to punched into the ceiling) and do some insulation.

This is all a pain and slow without two good paws.

Had a busy day starting with an hour and half walk with Campinspecter and the dogs. After breakfast it was cleaning the stove (Ugh), cleaning bathrooms (+2 Ugh) and vacuuming - which I like doing. Campinspecter did two loads of laundry and hung them out on the clothes line and then did the dusting. After lunch, we went out and watched a gravel ship being docked.

Looking forward to putting my feet up and having a cup of tea. I am NOT going to look at the Smokehouse and start drooling over food posts.

Forgot to add that I discovered the rhubarb is coming up so I went and baked a rhubarb crisp for Campinpsecter.

Just caught the pics of the docking, very nice. Interesting how they have to maneuver that monster to dock it. Thanks for sharing

Just re-located # 10 down under yesterday. Birds are loving the red menace free zone.

Our 'brab patch needs to be side dressed and later this year split. It isn't to harvest size yet, we have already pulled the planter full of parsnips. Our garlic is doing well.

Other than filler in jams I don't know what we will do with the large amount we will likely have. I don't know if I'll do another batch of 'barb wine or not. I still have to do a couple batches of beer/ales and a batch of mead.

I also am not sure of what to do with cucumbers this year except eat them, I only have to put up some sour pickles (likely refrigerator sours). We are depleting the various "caned" goods in the larder. This year it is apt to be a mince meat and watermelon pickles large batch year.
