Covering for bear 1998 today while he's actually out working. I was cutting stumps off of the trees that the dozer pushed out. Didn't take long till the operator decided he didn't want to get stuck.

I thought he was being mighty optimistic about clearing and grubbing in those conditions with a loader cat. An excavator? Maybe. But once you start wallering around with a little 953, let alone a bigger 973, it doesn't take long and you've got a heckuva mess. Hopefully he decided to give it up before he tore up the whole site. I've learned the hard way some days its best to just walk away and wait it out.
