Yesterday my wife and I took a walk on our property.

Noticed the bald eagles nest in this tree as we where walking. Took this picture with my wife standing next to it. Impressive tree!

I love sycamore bark. There's a long row of them growing along the Charles River. They drop a lot of branches, but they're beautiful.

OMG! huge tree. Thats cool with the bald eagles. I have a few sycamores next to the river where we live in Conn. I call them "camo" trees as the younger bark looks like camoflauge. Id love to have the eagles of course! Few mallards the other day. Wont use it for wood.

Yes, technically it is a creek, but a good sized one. You can just barely see the water in the bottom right of the picture.

Yeah, I figured with the eagle nest. They like to be by water.

Eagles are incredible to watch. I've seen a couple nests from "up close". It's amazing how big they are. We got some good up close views years back fishing. Kept catching little shiners & knocked them on the boat edge & tossed em back in. Eagle came in a plucked them out of the water. Had one about 25' feet from the boat, what a sight!

The bottom of that sycamore is hollowed out, i can tell by looking at it. Anytime the butt on them swells like that, they are hollow. Pretty awesome you have some eagles on your place, they are really making a comeback here in Indiana.

Good catch, its hollow on the backside, its a big enough hole a grown man can stand in it.

Look just to the left of the tree.
