I am not a "relocator" of problem rodents. No sense making it someones problem.

I relocate them....usually throw them down the holler after I kill them.

I'm hoping I will do fine...there are few things better than a fat venison steak with mushrooms and onions! You never know though, I have shot plenty of targets but never a living thing before. I just keep telling myself it's no different than heading to the grocery store and buying a beef roast....

It might actually be better… you're the farmer/hunter harvesting your own meat. BTW, marinades are great with venison too. Gotta admit tho, mashed taters and venison w/onions is to die for… bet the mushrooms are great too. OK… gotta stop thinking about food… ;)

Replaced some rotted deck boards this morning and did a little sanding.

Then I spent the afternoon sanding and priming the walls in the baby's room. I looked like a speckled ghost when I was done. Two months to go!

Tomorrow me and a buddy are starting on tiling the laundry room. I feel like I have ten projects going on.:hair:

Going to go and slay the rest of the trees where my BIL's dad is building his barn today. Got three cord this week, hoping to get two more today.

Also scored the job of framing the barn in June.

No complaints there, 2 scores. Kinda sounds like a hockey game in a wood forum :)

Hehehe… yeah, my re-location ops on 9 reds so far, are one way and down under…

Had a friend who used to trap reds and take them up the dirt road and release them during the winter. I told him once, hey that's great… you're helping to feed the hawks… isn't that nice. He wasn't impressed…

I wonder about it when I've been up since 3am because my mind won't stop thinking about the tree cutting today. We are weird people....

Nothing wrong with that. I do the same thing with my carpenter work, some of my better ideas come to me in the middle of the night.

You guys just reminded me of my "fix" for those bolt wide awake nights with details of the next day's jobs flooding my pea brain. Drove me nuts. When I started doing a punch list of all of the things I needed for the sign installation job the next day, those long nights stopped. Could sleep all night cause I knew I had it covered. But, you're right Pyro… we're definitely weird people… :D

    That's awesome, Jack.
I at first thought you'd made a little jail cell.
Now that you mention it, it does look more like a compost bin.:D
    Pete's gonna' be jealous.
