If it was 59 outside it would be a heat wave with windows wide open with shorts and tee shirts up here in the north country. It's all relative my friend, at Well Seasoned 's gtg last June we had a morning frost, that's swimming weather for us when the sun comes up.

We got up to almost 40 yesterday and it was a treat with all the sunshine. Today not so much. It’s 22 outside and 77 inside and I just reloaded with a mix of KD oak and maple, a little beech, and 6 bricks for the day. We’re under a winter storm warning with 4-6” predicted then turning to rain overnight. Looks like a mess in the morning, but temperatures next week are supposed to be in the 40’s for the most part so we’ll survive. Maybe even without an extra trip to the grocery store :D

Sitting at a very mild 24f here right now. Looks like 3" maybe 4" of fresh stuff-just enough to call out the plows. I'll get a better guesstimate once I go for a drive.

    Temps sure do feel good!

    How were the oysters?
31° and snowing here, but we've got it on the run, temps climbing overnight and 45° tomorrow. A split of maple and a split of oak keeping the kitty warm in the basement.
Possum showed up last night for the first time all week, ate some chicken.

To put it in perspective, Memorial day weekend 4 years ago up to camp we got we got 5" of snow, up to Well Seasoned 's place, he wasn't there then, there was 8". We didn't do any swimming over that holiday weekend. We were in the mood to enjoy the first weekend of summer in shorts and grilling without winter coats and gloves. But alas, it was not in the cards.

Pine, some junk mail, and black walnut in the stove again this am. It's 32° outside, 67° inside. I'll need to haul a load of gooder wood, at least Siberian elm up from the lower stacks. I only have my end towers on the patio stack and I don't want to use those quite yet. Maybe before we go to Florida on vacation at the end of March. Wow is that coming up soon. 12 days! I've got more reading up to do on how to operate the rest of the stuff on my new truck.

I know the feeling, I just went to smart phone from a flip phone. I don't know what to do with it, I gotta figure how to take a pic and somehow post it here. Probably take a year, or more.:headbang:

I have done the same on the pile in my shed. I used a row or two of the end stack but then started thinking I should leave that so I can stack between it for the next stack. I'll just start pulling from the row behind it before I pull the end pillar.

X2, great stackers hate to waste a solid end stack.

This truck is a lot more intuitive than what the Germans did with my Audi that I just sold. I'm German and half of the symbols and petroglyphs didn't make any sense. Setting the clock on the audi waswsuch a pita that I stopped doing that for DST. Luckily the new owner took possession of the car the day before day again and it's correct as of today;) . On my truck, I got my phone paired with Bluetooth streaming all figured out, and I flipped open the tonneau cover yesterday, I really only have to figure out android auto and the pro trailer assist, but I won't need the trailer assist driving to florida and back. I'll have to get all of the items that I want in my truck set up. That might take a little time too.
