Yup another one of these. This wood is available not far from me, kinda leaning towards it being a maple but honestly cant tell....some help from the fellow FHC'ers would be appreciated!

Yeah, you can't wait on something like that. I'm surprised someone wasn't there loading it right as they were cutting it.

    It happens.

On Friday I saw a bucked up 12-14" honey locust on the snowbank in town on my way home from work.

I had my birthday dinner to go to with my wife so that had to wait.

On the way to the restaurant I passed where it was. It was gone in those few minutes.

It was my birthday, and I'm happily married. ;)

I do have a truck now, I could've/ should've graded a bed full at least. I need to get in that mentality. I also only had footwear that was by no means any bit useful for digging around in snowbanks.

Note to self. Put a pair of boots in my truck. I've already got the gloves.

I will say I left the house to go get it within minutes of seeing it on Craigslist and posting the ID here! But, it had been posted 5 hrs prior to me seeing it. Oh well.

We have more high wind warnings for tomorrow. Something else will likely turn up.

You have to be fast around here to get goodies like that. No way I could have driven by that without banging a u turn. I'll just be a little late for wherever I was going.:)
