Had a dead and dying birch removed, plus two big red oaks trimmed of all their dead wood and and low hanging branches. Paid $600, he is a friend of my adult kids.
You know, I don't really know. I haven't taken notice of it close up to see the pile of wood cut to length. My son will collect it up and use it. I burn pellets and only need wood for the fire pit. I don't know if there is a half cord there. Most of the cutting was taking down limbs. a few live ones and lots of dead ones. I was fearful of them coming down on my grandkids who play in that area, or falling on the house electrical supply wires. We have worse and worse winds. I had two other trees taken down last summer after a wind gust took the top off one of them and had it lifted up like Mary Poppins before coming back down. That has happened twice in two years. Best to be proactive, not reactive.
