Nice day today, spruce keeping the house warm, went to work today, brought home some birch and cut some spruce.
They said thank you. Their Mom gets all the credit. Mom is a teacher, and has chosen to stay home and raise out kids and home school them. She has them on the straight and narrow. They are hard workers and help around the house. They are good wood help also. They are good kids.
A buddy has a daughter in high school. Her home room teacher said the girl is always helping others with their studies. Her father suggested to her she might consider becoming a teacher. She said “daddy, I can’t stand this generation “ no way I would be a teacher”. She said they are rude and disrespectful. Temperature past few days is below ten. I awoke to a cold house, and just as suspected, my overnight load was teepee mode and a small fire beneath it. Should be good, but 3 AM boiler visit will take the sleep out of you
11*-69*....more oak in the pot......low 20s for a high today....another little clipper passin by friday..

Hickory in the house stove, shop stove burned out so I'll do a clean out and let the electric furnace run my bill up. Lab pups have a vet appointment this morning and they dont like getting in a car/truck so we'll have a circus soon.
12°. I'm so glad this will be over next week! Maybe it will be one of those years when it goes from 0 to 60!
I also wanted to say that you've got some great kids there also Rope. They have a great Mom & Dad, you know that saying about Apples not falling far from the tree don't ya?
Thank you, Mom truely deserves the credit, she with them 24/7. Never complain’s attentive to her job, she is also the den leader for the local Cub Scouts chapter, that they are in. She is the general manager for the mites and squirts hockey team. Mom does the fun stuff with them, dad makes em work.
Weather guessers knocked this one out of the park. Spruce and birch has the house at 74 in the front half and 71 in the bedrooms
Hoping that doesn't happen here. If it does we will be flooding.... Again. Lotsa snowpack here that needs to slowly melt away! The sun is gaining power. 3F actually felt decent outside this AM with the sun shining. Hard to believe.
-11c/12f right now with larch from last night in the box. Ill be able to use less wood with this milder weather!
Supposed to finally hit 20 degrees this afternoon. Temperature slowly climbing up to the thawing point.
It rained and snowed all night, I'm sure there's going to be some flooding too. The forecast is more of the same thing into next week......... 33° now. 72° and burning Pinion Pine.
