Oh, you are having too much fun! Is this mostly from the big pile of logs that was left by the previous landowner? Cleaning up Are they mostly sound and not punky?
Mostly from the lower pile of logs. It is definitely a mixed lot with some of it looking real good to other downright rotten. I’ve been selling some but am forthcoming about the low quality, thus a discounted price. I think it’s a fair deal for dry wood at this time of year, as there is enough good quality stuff to make it worthwhile. I also let them leave whatever they don’t want to take and burn it myself. I’m hoping to start cutting on the upper pile soon and I’ve also got some other up there the power company just took down last month. If nothing else, it is good exercise and always fun to run a saw. That sounds perfect, now is the time of year people want anything dry. You'd have a harder time selling the marginal stuff in summer, I'm sure. And it gets sorted, while you can burn some yourself and decrease the volume.
