The tree was shading our dogwood that is a memorial and the cherry was unhealthily at the base so I dropped it for fireplace wood for my son. The cherry was about 14" and made about 2/3 of a face cord. I piled the brush and bucked it all but no split or stack yet.

I would have thought 2/3 face cord is kinda short?

    Cherry is nice-

I thought I might have over-estimated but it's hard to guess while its on the ground and not stacked or even piled.

Thanks. I often wondered and had to wait until it was stacked. Question for you...did Stihl ever make a MS291cmq model? I was on Craigs List last night and there is a 291c for sale and it has the extra quickstop on the back handle. Did some research and came up with nothing.

do a Craigs List search for New Haven, CT and look at the Stihl MS291c for sale from Cromwell. The guy relisted it today. Was for sale on Saturday but mustve sold Sunday morning and the buyer backed out.

...but it has the "quickstop" lever on the back handle like a 261 CMQ? Unless this is a cannibalized put together rebuild?

Its got me baffled. The saw looks barely used but seller claims "new bar and chain". The handle on a 261CMQ will fit on a 291 as i learned today . Im tempted to call and go check it out.

turns out they make a MS291CBEQ model. I had to google and ask if they made that model as i found parts for it on ebay. Power equipment dealer in Michigan has it new for $799 MSRP i guess. Maybe ill give the guy a call tomorrow.
