Polar express. Polar vortex. Polar anomaly. A break in the space-time continuum?
All I know is when I took the dogs out, it seemed pretty dang cold. An insulated hoodie and my Carhartt jacket weren't enough. We weren't out there long.

As I fired up last night, it felt colder than what the thermometer read.

    3-4-19. 6:28 AM. -11F. -29F windchill. Topping out today at a balmy... 7F.

We are 20F below average for today. The sun was up early with clear sky's! This chill will soon pass.
Our minor struggles are not really even noteworthy this AM compared to the tornado victims down south.

Weather guessers got it wrong to our favor for a change. Spruce keeping things warm, looking to get a load of birch after work today.

Thinking of those in Alabama today, we have a few members in Mobile. I hope there alright, one works for the power company. FEFE785F-9422-4230-86C4-9366F98914ED.png

Got up to light snow. Sun fought the clouds and won. Now they are in a compromise. Partly cloudy. Gonna have a couple days with mid teens for highs. Then spring is gonna fight back get the highs back to the upper 30's lower 40's for a few days. After that, who knows.

Miserable cold all day but the worst part was the wind. Brutal.

Teens here, dropping to 7 overnight according to the guessers. Ash and apple will be this evening's libations for the IS. Supposed to be a little chilly until Friday - could this be winter's last hurrah before giving way to spring? ...doubt it, but we're ready either way. ;)

We thought winter was almost over down here, most of the trees were starting to green up along with the native grass. But for the next week or so winter is back......tonight we will be down to 26 degrees with a high tomorrow of 40. :tears:
