Taking my time getting moving this morning. Lazin around and surfing FHC.

Time to get my son moving so he gets some breakfast in him. He and I are going to go out with the M59 and saws and try to do some firewood cutting and trimming up of some branches on the trails. Get them widened a bit and any low hanging stuff. Need to get going on some firewood for next season.

I did some searching online about it, and found a lot of people complaining about it. Seems that just shy of a qt every 1k miles isn't deemed to be excessive by Kia

    :jaw:

Just take the "fill up the oil and check thegas" approach, huh?

We have heard a lot of not so favorable reports of Kia. More so than favorable.

Logged off early last night so I didn't see the question, but yes, I did indeed have some :coldone::pete:

I've been binge watching Star Trek on Hulu lately.

Went through all of Stargate SG-1, then Stargate Universe, Star Trek DS-9, currently watching ST Next Gen.

Started watching SG-Atlantis, but got bored, same with ST-Enterprise.
    :picard:

After this I may go through Battlestar
    Galactica (newer version)

Hulu also has The Outer Limits and The Twilight Zone, but I know pretty much every episode by heart.
    :picard:

Some might pick up on a theme here
    :sherlock:

Haha, that sounds fun in the way little cars always are. Just got the rio, gotta open the hatch and pull a string to unlock the door.....or pay to get a key cut. Decisions decisions....

They all have that spec...if you aren't using more than a quart in 1000 miles, "its fine" :picard:
Even BMW and Honda use this spec! :faint:

To me, its a load of crap...but its highly unlikely that your gonna get anybody to do anything for you if your machine is not using more than 1 qt/1000 miles.
If you have a small car that gets 40 MPG, using 1 qt of oil per 1000 miles is the equivalent to running 100:1 two cycle mix! :hair:

I am keeping it simple today and have plans to fill the bird feeders and stomp down the snow around my rabbit sensitive raspberry canes and young apple trees as the depth now is over the fencing and don't want them to start girding anything. Then I will empty content of thawed pails of kitchen scraps and coffee grounds from work on the compost pile, layer on more fall leaves, and top with more snow.

My wife and are driving over to her parent's home to cook fish dinner for them later this afternoon.

I'm saving getting on the roof and shoveling until tomorrow...the driveway was enough for one day.

Our 2004 Suburban with the 5.3 was burning a quart every 1500 miles but that stopped after I started using Valvoline high milage oil.

My 2002 Tundra (170,000), my "new" (to me) 2006 Tundra 4.7 (100,000 miles), and my wife's 2006 Lexus RX 330 (190,000 miles) don't use much, if any in 5000 miles with conventional 5w30.

Another day of waiting for the snow and ice to melt so I can do something outdoors. Did get out for a short walk yesterday as amazingly our road is not too bad. Driveway is not the same...but only 100 yards of that to contend with. Then took a short atv ride in back and confirmed that I need to wait until cutting more wood. Hopefully within the next two weeks the snow and ice will be gone.

btw, Chvymn99 asked a few days ago if we had any sandhill cranes yet. I talked to my niece and they saw 9 of them last Tuesday so I expect we should start seeing some very soon.

I tried like heck to buy almost that identical car when I was 16...never did succeed though. I really wanted the rear louvers, and a sunroof!
I did manage to get a '87 Mustang GT for my 3rd car though!
Not my pic, but it looked just like this one...my first, and last black vehicle! :hair:

I had to sell it after 6 months because I couldn't afford the insurance :( but I know the guy that bought it personally...he stores it mainly, but still takes it out for a joy ride now and again!

Ugh...I'm still on west coast time. Couldn't get out of bed until almost 10 this AM. Need to go find a project to work on.
