Cut some sugar maple back in Jan. and found this with my saw just barely didn't hurt much. Split it last night. A little barbed wire to hold the grain together.
Lots of that around here, too. This was prime wool country not long ago. Glad ya just nicked it instead of wrecking your chain!
Don't worry about little things like that Locust Post. A little wire will just sharpen the saw for you.
I found the Imgur post, the description was: "Very old gun found inside a tree by a man who milled it in Cape York. Thought to have been left in the fork and the tree had grown up around it" . Some other comments say that it's a shotgun, not a flintlock. .
Cape York, Australia! https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.wi...scovered-inside-milled-tree-in-australia/amp/
Wow, I could never imagine an event that would cause me to leave my shotgun in a tree! How precious and expensive a gun was in those days, the story must be interesting.
So you have to take a dump. You find a place for the gun and then find a place for the other business. Then, you can't find where the gun was left!
Always interesting what you find in trees whether with your saw or axe. I have a few splits put aside with various metal in them. Ill post soon.
