    Hi All,

I got the 4" stainless liner installed and the T put together at the bottom that extends out of the chimney. Now, at the vertical and horizontal T connection, is there a typical way to seal this joint? Since its in a chimney I only have access to the inside of the joint shown in the picture.

    Thanks!

I'd use the rutland rtv which is rated for higher temps. Over 1000ºF ifn I remembered correctly. :) Stove cement is also a good choice and rated for 2000ºF. Hard as a rock though and a b1tch to get off if you ever have too.

Make sure you knead it into the joint too, Don't just smear over it. ;)
