We've spent much time around Marquette and know what the conditions can be like but those who are first timers and even those who come only occasionally can have it pretty tough. I know what it is like when you are riding along and then suddenly come right smack dab into a 6' drift. It will wake you up for sure. But I don't understand the guy who got stuck in a 3 ft drift. I've done that several times but always able to get myself out. The worst was one time the snow was about 5' deep and I was not on a trail then ran over a bush that I did not know was there. I just sank, like right now. Now that was a bit tough getting out of there.

Oh boy! Judy made some caramel nuts this afternoon. She asked me to help so I did and for that I got to lick the bowl too! Then to top all that, I'll get to eat some of the nuts too. Eat your hearts out.

Finished up splitting the rest of the Black Locus that I drug up to the house a couple weeks ago. Some of it was real knurly and it fought me the whole way. Its all on the stack so I guess that makes me the winner.
Separated the oak from the other wood out of a 1/2 cord row.
I took a walk to see if I had any blow downs in my woods. I had 1 down and I can't get to it. The lower field has standing water on it.

View from the cottage roof a couple weeks ago. I shoveled it before the storm. It is a little dim as it wasn't fully daylight yet.

Nope....this was back in the late 60's early 70's. No videos, no cameras, heck-CB radios weren't even around yet!
