Can you guys shoot me who you use? Im on the hunt.. Virgin is who we used for years and then Verizon paid for by work. I need to switch back to my own phone again and contracts are out I hate them. I am eyeballing T mobile for the unlimited Bing On which given my needs looks good but I don't know much about them. There appears to be a bazillion other prepaid carriers out there. Any input would be great! Thanks...
Cricket is owned by ATT and we are on a 5 line for $100 per month. I have good service with ATT in my area so no complaints after a year with them.
I'm prepaid Verizon. Just switched plans. They have unlimited call/text/15gb data for $50/month, $45 with autopay.
We have Verizon as well, and 2 phones, and a wireless hot spot is costing us ~$220/mo I'll have to look and see if there are any better plans. I dropped the home I'net a couple of months ago, saved us $100/mo
Burns my behind our cell signal is so weak despite a Wilson Amplifier, atleast we text and make calls. Any internet we need wifi at the bargain price of only $120/month.
We are T-Mobile... works great $60 a month for 2 lines unlimited everything. Just buy Verizon compatible phones and your good to go.. I have IPhone 7+...
Straight Talk. 2gb(3 for long time customers like us) for $35/ month each #. We’re usually on WiFi wherever we go, and great service everywhere.
trac phone here. The epitome of prepaid service Only turn it on when needed and don't use it for anything but phone calls. No internet, messages (tried once and my daughter about had a heart attack ) ETC ETC ETC
Pure talk is what I have used in the past. Cost me $15 dollars for two lines, but they have changed their plans recently. It used ATT network
Spectrum mobile $14 a month unlimited talk/text, 1 gb. If you are using more than 1gig you need to get a life.
Two of my daughters use their phones for most of the work they do.........unlimited plans, and I'm sure they use much more than a gig/month. Times, they are a changin'.
Same here...err...wait, I think its $125 mo for 5 lines for us...anyways, plus we added 10 gigs each of hotspot data for my wife and I's phones too...so our portion (on this with extended family) of the total bill is $70. And that extra 10 gigs each is just for hotspot use (home internet service for us)...data use on the phones themselves is unlimited. (Well, technically, its throttled after 2o some odd gigs...but in our area there is rarely enough traffic for them to have the need to throttle it) So we went from $120 mo. for 1 smart phone, 1 hotspot w/ 16 gigs data limit, and 1 dumb phone, to what is listed above...for almost half price...and just as good of service...works for me!
If we were all limited to 1 gig, you'd be pretty lonely hangin out on FHC by yourself most of the time then...
Interesting theory.....pleases let wildwest know about it and that'll explain why the site has been slower lately..... everyone switched to 1 gig plans!!
We went from Simplewhatever to T-mobil One Unlimited 55+ ( they called it something else originally) and fortunately this is a good service area. Have had good luck with overseas use but they do slow the data rate down for us seniors. I guess they are looking out for us making sure we don't get overwhelming dizzying speeds. The personal hotspot does come in handy when Comcast goes down, over and over and over and over and over again. I'm tempted to pay double and upgrade to T-Mobil One and dump Comcast.
Thankfully I don’t need overseas use but I do travel a lot and that’s part of the issue. I’ve been looking at everyone’s coverage maps and realized a LOT of companies have the same webpage with different colors and a name on it. Coverage of the area I’ll be traveling too seems to be the best with AT&T and T-Mobile maps.
We switched to Verizon prepay. 1st line $50, other 2 lines $35 each. $120 month from $275 contract plan
This is exhausting Correct me if I'm wrong please my eyes are bleeding after reading all the fine print..... By way of explanation I travel A LOT for work and stream music, talk radio, audiobooks and podcasts. I end up needing unlimited data We used to use Virgin wireless and it was always great however for 3 years I have been on a Verizon company phone. The plans have changed a great deal in 3 years.... I am heading to talk to T- mobile today and possibly the generic cell store guy he's got 5 different cell services there. T-mobile seems to fit what I need for prepaid. Metro PCS looks pretty good too I think they are T-Mobile light. Cricket comes close 2nd but there unlimited ( data cap ) is stopping me. They throttle data to 144kb after 10gb or if congested data usage. I don't know if I read that correctly but I think I did. They are $10 more per month than T-Mobile which is unlimited. Boost Mobile looks good too but my nieces had them and the coverage is awful here. Thats odd to me because we used Virgin for years and had awesome signal. They are the same parent company sprint. Spectrum is a no go that's apparently the company we had home internet through until recently when I told them to take a hike and not come back.... Very dishonest with us. Verizon is out as well they refuse to transfer my work number from a Verizon work account to prepaid and insist it has to go to a contract plan. I call BS. It fits with how they acted when we had them years ago. Straight talk ( reserves the right ) to review your account and see if your in violation of terms and conditions at any given time and fine you or charge you for excess data. Its a prepaid card from what I found so I don't know how you could go over? Eric VW could you explain that are they prepaid card or is it monthly deductible? Other than that they look good too!
