Just read the entire thread. I really enjoyed it! Lots of chuckles. Some great quotes I’ll need to remember. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Ex wife stopped by today. Came to borrow space heaters to hopefully thaw her frozen pipes. Telling me about the second job she had to get to pay her bills. As we sat in front of the old Hastings, and was even nice enough to throw a couple splits into the blaze king before I got home. I still love her, but dayummmm.... sometimes it's just best to move on.
Continuation of this posting, about my friend and his wife's attitude about him bringing home wood. WELLLLLLLL i think her attitude is starting to change a little bit. Here in the PNW, we've been getting fairly decent snow fall, not much by a lot of standards, but, its been cold, and depending where you live, from 1'' to as many as 24'' farther east. But, where we live, a good 9'' and its pretty cool out there. SO, he's let the wood pile ''dwindle'' and he's used a couple of cords in a pretty short time. He told me, he told her, look at how much wood we've used to date, and that's not counting some on the other end of the wood pile, about another cord at that end. Thinking its changing her mind on just how much wood is enough, said he showed her, explained how its going to take the right weather, snow melt and a lot of time to replenish what wood they have used so far. She didn't say much, and she likes to keep the house nice and warm, lol. Yeah, i'd say he's got her attention for sure, supposed to snow tonight, in fact its starting to come down now, and the winds out of the east and colder than a well diggers butt, lol. At this rate, with the cold temps, it'll take several weeks to melt off what's building up high on the logging jobs. I'm guessing he's winning the ''battle'', lol.
Then “your friend” doesn’t understand women very well. May think he’s ahead in the battle but the war isn’t over. Now I’m not knocking women. This little tiff isn’t about the sexes. Anyway once the sun warms the ground this battle will return. Let the house go cold. Put an end to the war one way or the other.
