Here's to a smooth surgery and a speedy operation. Don't forget to take the iPad Pete, you will want something to keep your mind busy.
Jack that's a good idea... I can buzz around here guess that makes me a true addict. Actually I'll probably be to out of it to do anything other than wait.
My Prayers are with you and the Mrs. Pete! I had left knee done twice, "different things", good as new! Todays Dr.s got it down to a science. Best of luck, She'll be fine....
Pete, My wife is the same way. Quick story, when she went in for her second c section she was still a nervous wreck. You would think she would be more comfortable having gone through it before... Nope! They bring her in to the OR early, to prep and start doing their doctor stuff, then they bring me in. She is as nervous as can be. This is after she got the nerve block/epidural whatever that thing is. She looks at me and says, "I think something is wrong! I don't think it worked, I can still feel my legs and feet. Don't let them cut me open yet, I can still feel my legs"! I look over the sheet and see her stomach already cut wide open and her insides coming out. I just smiled, held her hand and said, "I think you'll be fine Dear". My second child arrived shortly thereafter. I couldnt wait until later to make fun of her.
My doc had a nerve block put in when he did my shoulder replacement... no pain for the two weeks it was working... should work good.
I had the same surgery, It's a piece of cake, and they gave me some good drugs Fire up the stove and get out the ice packs Seriously, I hope everything goes well, It is surgery
I'm sure you're pretty much occupied right now Pete, but we're still thinking of you two. Let us know how things went when you have the time.
Thanks guys this means a lot! Most likely I'm gonna be on and off here out of boredom while she is in surgery Dave. They say it could be a couple hours before I can talk to here after surgery. She's gonna be down for a while. I'll keep you posted thanks my friend !
All the best to you and yours Pete! Hope all goes excellent. And don't forget, if you get really bored, you can come up with more ideas for my Bobcat den! LOFL
I'm confuzzled. WTH is LOFL. I've heard of ROFL (rolling on floor laughing), but LOFL is unfamiliar. Leaning on the floor laughing? No. Laughing on the floor laughing is redundant, so, no. Loofah-ing on the floor laughing might work, but, no. Gotta' help me out here. Anybody? Beuhler?
