Who runs echo? I picked up this cs 590 in December to replace an old 025 and am loving it. It has about 9 or 10 full tanks on it now and is really starting to open up. I may muffler mod it soon. I think it’s great bang for buck. I know this will open up a can of worms but I don’t see buying another stihl again.
Excellent saws for the money. You'll find a lot of Echo fans here, me included, even though I've got a bunch of Stihl saws. They mod well, are dead reliable, & handle very comfortably. What's not to like.
I guess its all in, "try it youll like it". Ive owned Stihl's since 1985 and have no complaints, they have treated me well. I really dont have the opportunity to try other saws and consider myself "brand loyal". I do have a Husky 334 which i dont use a lot and would like to replace it with a new Stihl. Best of luck with it!
I’ve never run Echo, but I do have lots of Shindaiwa equipment. Not sure how much of the Shindaiwa technology goes into the Echo equipment now. If ever in the market for a new saw, Echo would be on the short list. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
The 5 year warranty sold me and the fact that my stihl dealer charges $75 an hr for service now. Plus did a lot of research and it seemed like this saw was running circles around the farm boss! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I'm a big fan of Echo saws, I have 7 plus a pole saw. I wanted a bigger saw than Echo offered so I bought a Stihl, not overly impressed with it especially at it's cost.
I have a CS-352.....light n nimble.....one of my most used saws. Biggest gripe about it is.....i wish the oiler would shut off while idling...but hey...ya deal with it
I have a CS3400 top handle that was my first saw. I purchased it in 1998. The coil went bad at around 8-9 years and was replaced under 'lifetime ignition warranty' which I didn't even know it had! I have only done standard maintenance on it and it's bone stock. I did put all new rubber through the whole saw about 4 years ago. It starts and runs for me every time I need it. I like to call them the 'Kubota' of the chainsaw world...Echo.
