Yup missing some fascia.. On the bright side, air sealing areas that need attention are pretty obvious!
22 here, worst of the wind is supposed to be done now. 50mph sustained and gusts to 65 most of the day. Supposed to calm to 35/50 for overnight. 74 inside, but the fire blows out every so often.. Thankfully no smoke indoors when it happens.I Glad to not be camping on Mt Washington tonight.
Thanks for the update and the offer to check camp, but we didn't pay the owner to plow the road this year. So you would have to post hole it up there Well Seasoned . I've endured some pretty powerful winds there before, so I should be ok. I hope, Besides if I have some damage, I don't wanna know about it. I need to sleep to tonight, and there's nothing I can do about it now from here.
Here the lakes are drifted over and slush is bad up north. There are still people over 10 miles out on Lake of the Woods stranded in their fishhouses after the blizzard yesterday. They are working to get ice anglers in still stranded on some of the other big lakes up north before their propane runs out. Interstate 35W south of here was just reopened a few hours ago. It is currently 1f here, dropping well below zero tonight, with anther 2-4" of snow for tomorrow, then again on Saturday with highs over the weekend barely above zero.
Been windy here all day Loaded OWB with a large load of Pine and Spruce this morning at 8AM went back out at Noon and threw on a few more splits of Spruce and Ash. Going thru some wood today, went back out at 7PM loaded up for the night the good stuff Red and White Oak and Hardhack should be good till late tomorrow. The wind has died down some will have to see what came down in the storm.
15F now with no wind. Real nice night out. First time in 36hrs that it didn't feel raw. 3-6" snow for tomorrow & Wednesday they say. Coldish for the rest of the week & beyond. Oak in the boiler. Mid 70's indoors. No major wind damage & power stayed on.
OWB is all set for an overnighter. Dark and cold out there. The snow on the deck boards is really protesting as you walk across it tonight! -10 now, heading for a little lower than that.
