Hello everyone! I wanted to introduce myself as a new member. I just started cutting and splitting my own firewood, so I hope to gleen some good info from those of you who have been doing this for a while. I learned about this site from another member ( Boog ) and from what I've seen so far , I think that I can learn a lot.
Glad to see you here ID. I've known ID for about 30 years, he was the best man at one of my weddings . He's the guy that I gave that rebuilt/painted 031AV to for a house warming gift at his new "country place". Oh, he forgot to mention that he has a "petting zoo" full of deer and turkeys running wild through his back yard. He's a big time hunter/fisherman and has to be one of the top Beer connoisseurs in the Buckeye state. He said it was ok to post any photos of him so I figured these would do for starters. Nice ones from Devil's Hole, lower Niagara River, some February years ago: ID's 031AV
Thanks everyone! Boog didn't tell me that I had to keep the wood dry, he just said that I'd like running a chainsaw!
Welcome to FHC ID1! ! If you want to learn about wood (drying/stacking techniques) and run a bunch of different chainsaws? We are having a GTG (Get Together) in North Canton that Boog will be attending. Will be some beer drinking after the festivities as well
Thanks DD. I've already talked to Boog about attending. So you can count me in. Is there anything that I should bring?
The resolution is so high those look like statues. ID's got it rough, he could "harvest" these guys from his deck eating popcorn!
