What's up today (bullchiting) thread.

It’s just starting to blow where you can hear it outside. Brought wood up to the house, got gas for the generator if need be, plenty of bread, milk and food. We are hoping we are about as prepared as we can be at this point.

 

Yes, as wildwest said, wear ski goggles when snowblowing. Also wear a ski mask/ balaclava or similar. I actually wear my snowboarding jacket with the hood up, zipped tight with ski goggles and the face mask.

Either that, or get the cab for the blower.

 

Monin all... ... was snowing hard, just a minute ago... bam... instant stop. Only about 4-5" yesterday & last night. Time fer some more shoo'in... before howling cold winds hit us...

Just finding out where I am at with the lenders. One lender offered a low rate on a conventional loan....same % as a VA loan. That was a surprise.

I definitely would have had words with that credit union guy and would have found out when the monthly meetings are and taken it to the credit union board also. Jack a$$.

Clear and cold here. Another gorgeous day shaping up. It could get windy though as we have outflow conditions from the mainland. The moon sure wanes quickly. Down to less than half already.

edit: My weather sticker is wrong. It is -4 C this morning - not 5 C Big difference.

 

I too have noticed a difference in what the computer temps say and what the actual temps actually are locally. 15 degrees difference last night alone! And what is up with this new computer? The time on it will read (for example) 6:42 and I will see posts that are timed onto the forum (in alerts) two minutes into the future-6:44!

 

With powder snow, and windy days, it's impossible to not get blasted.

 

This morning I put the tax paperwork together and filled out the preparers form with appropriate information. I then brought everything to them. Glad that is done. Hope we don’t get hit too hard. Had to pay in last year.

Then I drove to the nearby town of Massena to pick up an on line order that I had shipped to store for free shipping at Home Depot. More on that later.

The wind was blowing the snow off the fields and the St. Lawrence River to make Route 37 a miserable drive in several areas. But, I’m back safe and sound.

Inside next to nice warm boiler and now looking at assembly instructions. Oh yeah! I’m waiting for the garage to warm up a bit before I go out. Turned the thermostat up to 55 to make it a little more comfortable to do the assembly.

The oil shop next door to my uncle looks almost ready to open.....don't think he's happy about that. A used building materials store for housing charity is also moving in on another reused property a few doors up.
