No plans to hunker down here. 99 wants to go to a dance this evening. Kinda locked into this one. No probs!
If you make your curfew around 11 or no later than midnight, you might be OK for kicking up your heels tonight
42 here. Going up to 54 by 1 am so they say. Cherry coals in the stove. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
26 here now, Burning Walnut, Maple and Boxelder with Elm on deck. The stack I'm into is a real smogishborg of all kinds of wood. I burned about 3-1/4 cord so far I reckon, with plenty left.
20s still here, feeling pretty moist outside. Snow, rain, and 45* coming tonight and tomorrow.. No problem, got my weekly wood chores done today and tomorrow is plumbing day anyway. Upstairs toilet won't shut off without lifting the lever by hand, and the downstairs sink leaks at the top of the hot water line. Oughtta be able to knock off by noon. Ash and Sugar maple sharing the load for the foreseeable future.
Sittin' here planning to play it by ear, goin' with the flow, chillin' with a fire........watchin' Bosch. We're at our low of 31 for the night, should be 41 tomorrow. Hoping that'll melt some more snow. 70-72 IAT. No plans to go anywhere.
36F here, some pretty heavy rain, going to 49, then down from there tomorrow with snow & the high winds. Blizzard warning north of here a little ways for tomorrow. Should be some really interesting weather. Cold all next week & into the weekend. Elm & Oak in the boiler.
16f outside, 76f inside...poplar, pine and ash in the HotBlast. 40 to 50 mph winds forecast for overnight through tomorrow early evening...should be interesting.
Yep, got a couple big white pine that would hit the house if they wanted to drop in this direction. The top already broke out of one.
Got a load of wood after work, and enjoyed a great sunset for a good 45 minutes on the way home. Stumbled across 5 good dead birch today, that were easy to get to. All in the 18-22 inch base size, what good luck. I brought 1 tree home, have 2 more pickup loads at work and at least 4-5 loads worth or rounds in the woods.
33*-66*...oak crankin.....driveway is an ice sheet....shouldnt stay long..wife n i are slicin bacon this mornin....then checkin everythin for the high winds.... EVERYBODY STAY SAFE !!!!
rain to sleet to 6+ inches of heavy snow. Currently 10 degrees but feels like -9. Wind howling, going to be a busy day of digging out. Reminds me of the snowstorms in the late 70s.
31°, freezing rain changing to rain later. We get the winds tomorrow. I'm glad I got to work outside last week, doesn't look very promising for the near future. I couldn't budge the oak log I have my eye on. It's cut into 4 foot sections, but frozen to the ground I think. There is a slight arch under the top section where I could cut it through, but I don't know if I could even roll it then.
19°f 17 MPH gusting to 40-45. Have not gone out yet, sounding like 8+- inches of snow. I am seeing some good size drifts on the west side of the house. Go out in an hour or so and start clearing snow. Looking like a cool week, but have mulberry, ash & elm in the stove.
Look like we got a few inches of snow overnight, now it is in he upper teens and very windy. This will be a good day to enjoy a nice fire in the hearth. The 10 day forecast looks pretty snowy and cold here.
