But, i knew better. Turned off the main road onto the logging road, started up the hill. Little patchy snow on the side of the road, and in the brush, nothing serious. The road climbs fast, at the 2.5 mile marker, 3 ft berms on both sides of the road, and packed snow on the rocked surface. Snow falling out of the tree's on the way up, but, i still held out hope it might thin out a little up the hill. NO such luck, it climbs fast and steep, so, i had to turn around, oh, i was in my tundra in 4 wheel drive most of the way. Finally did get turned around, headed down, now its REALLY STEEP, didn't really pay that much attention on the way UP. But, a different story coming back down.lol. So, no wood, and when i did get turned around, it was snowing again, before i head down the hill. Right now, at the lower elevation's, it feels like its going to snow tonight, we're at 532 ft above sea level. For the first time in 4-5 yrs we just might have a decent snow pack here in the PNW.
Headed up to go coyote hunting yesterday and we turned around before we got to the top. More snow up there than I thought. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I ''heard'' they think they might get up to 40 some inches on the Santiam pass this weekend. The way its raining here, right now, at 9 Pm i don't doubt they'll get it, its flat coming down here right now.
