You hitting on me? I know how some of those Vermonters are! Neck up, meh, ok, neck down with these long winters, I'd need a wide angle lense!
Thank you. No, our main house...white pine timber frame, built in 1993. Heat mainly with Hot Blast furnace in basement, and the DutchWest on the main level fired up when temps are below zero.
Have a new Woodstock IS in the garage that was meant to replace the DW, but never 'got er dun' this fall, so turned into a spring/summer project.
Yes sir, my middle grandson, lives right down the road from us. We see him a good bit, just turned 2. He loves to help. Stacking small limbs to build a fire Emptying the bucket into the wood box.
First off my wife absolutely hates my beard with a passion! Soooo...... she didn't find it to funny when I sent her this picture the other day. Me and Scotty Overkill were out doing a pine tree, it was 9 degrees with the wind. The caption that I sent to her was, "see it keeps me warm and catches the saw chips!" I also said if it wasn't for the beard all thise saw chips would've went right down the front of my shirt!
Interesting thread. My wifes not fond of my beard.......thing is we've been married 25 years and she's never, ever not even once seen what I look like without one.
6. Russia used to have a Beard Tax This fact is a bit historical, but it’s still pretty weird! A few centuries ago, in 1698, Emperor Peter I implemented a beard tax in Russia in an attempt to enforce a ban on the long and hairy facial hair that many sported. Jan Hetfleisch/Getty Images Men would have to pay a tax in order to sport a beard, and if they couldn’t pay, the Russian police would forcibly and publicly shave all of the men’s beards. The reasoning behind this? The Emperor wanted Russia’s men to look more like Western European models
