not sure on what types of trres they are all the bark has fallen ff and its really hard to tell whats what but there is a lot of wood there for sure. im the only one the has permission to cut there.
Looking at it closer, it sure looks like elm. yeah it doesn't split do well at all by hand( axes. maul), but with hydraulics its great wood. with it being bark free and cut off, it is probably already burnable as is even in an epa stove. Do you have a moisture meter? I have a feeling it will be under 20% moisture content as is.
Great looking saw and pile. Will the new saw get to cut it all? Ive had good luck with buying new saws. Ive bought a couple used saws and seem to have to fix them more than cut with them. Considering selling to upgrade to new for piece of mind. I enjoy cutting, not fixing other than basic maintenance. Best of luck with it.
Yes sir it's going to cut 90% of it my boy will be using the 14"poulan will be cutting some with it. It really pays off to buy brand new saw not saying u can't find good used saws but can't beat brand new either. I am amazed at the qaulity and power of this 440 it runs rite thru the rounds with my poulan u had to work to buck up a round this 440 does the work for you.
