    My son has been looking at some too and it shocked me the prices they are asking. Does not appear you can save a dollar when buying one of those.

    I wish getting rid of that would be that easy. I fight it off and on and it is not fun. I don't drink coffee so that is not the problem. Of course they blame the ears but I'm thinking there could be something else causing mine; just don't know what.

    Another beautiful sunny day here. 36 expected this afternoon. Then rain tomorrow followed by some high wind. Hope people get extra gas for their generators as it looks like they will be needed. I've seen predictions of 60 mph wind all over the place. Very nasty. That will be a good time to NOT go walking in the woods.

    The National Weather Service in Detroit/Pontiac has issued a High
    Wind Watch, which is in effect from Sunday morning through late
    Sunday night.

    HAZARDOUS WEATHER...

    * High wind, with gusts of 50 mph likely, is expected beginning
    Sunday morning and persisting through late Sunday night.
    Sustained winds will be from the west at 30 to 40 mph.

    * Brief intervals of gusts up to 60 mph will also be possible.

    * The highest gusts are most likely during the late morning to
    late afternoon.

    Well POOP. Lot sold today, and the cool modular I was eyeing (after numerous calls and emails with that sweet thing that was helping me) is actually $30K higher before the upgrades. Oh well.

    It’s a nice, smaller ski resort. Good food at the restaurant too. I haven’t been skiing since I was a teenager. I told the kids we should take a few lessons next year and all become skiers. Tubing is a lot of fun though.

    Many times you can find a home already built that has been around for a while much cheaper than a new build. With the cost of septic tank/leach system, utilities, land, and new construction it is very often cheaper to buy already built and used. Don’t give up.

    Thanks Gas, been watching the market for several months now. So many small 1930 & 1950 homes here on mirco lots with electric heat and sell for way too much. Disappointed, this lot had city water/sewer taps, electricity and natural gas. We put an offer in last month on an existing modular on a small lot for for $$, we were outbid. Guess I'll hurry up and wait for more listings.

    And agreed Backwoods Savage in many ways, but here there a just a few builders, they are REALLY expensive, and book their summers up a year in advance. This is the college town drives prices like a university in a metro area even though it's dirty and cold not upgraded/updated.

    Only 10 more years here!

    I am prepared to put an offer in on anything decent that comes up now, pre qual / pre approved for conventional stick built house, rehab house, and package loan for new home on vacant land. Just regret I missed out on this one by less than a week.
