They seem to have all the same type of components that the other Class A pipe MFG's have. It is the homeowner’s responsibility to maintain records of each annual inspection, maintenance, and cleaning by a certified Chimney Sweep. For purposes of this warranty, a trained professional installer is defined as one of the following: licensed contractors with prior chimney installation experience, CSIA Certified Chimney Sweeps, NFI Certified Specialists, or WETT Certified Professionals.
It doesn't seem like it has a lot of installations as of yet. I have a cathedral box of theirs that is put together well, I like it. So I was thinking of being a guinea pig on this one. Still checking reviews/ input.
I'm you're huckleberry on this one, I said fuq it and have it on the way. Will post after installation.
Three flues for 4-5 stoves self installed over 2 decades with Selkirk Metalbestos. Reliable, good instructions, durable, easy to clean 1x/year. 2 of the flues have been in place for close to 20 years. Selkirk SS flues are expensive. The most recent experience installing new Selkirk telescoping double wall was smooth with the excellent assist of the Selkirk consumer tech. They had changed a small part of the connection in the past decade that I could not figure out. Don't go cheap with your flue.
Just had a nice conversation with Shasta's Class A expert. He called me after reviewing my order 'cause it seemed "odd" to him. After explaining my situation, dimensions and new installation, he agreed it would work. Not ideal but it would work. Pleasantly surprised to get that call. Even offered to buy back an extra elbow section I'll have laying around after the install. If I run into any issues, he's a phone call away. Good C/S so far.
