Its a JD quick hitch. I could make the top hook work, just couldnt get the hitch to fit in the lift arm area. The pockets on the winch were too deep and the hitch would bottom out. Glad yours worked tho! Maybe i should pick up a speeco.

I’ll take some pics. If I was using the winch all day everyday I would hook it up directly but I don’t want to loose the versatility of the three point.

I have the Pat's Quick Change Hitch on my three point hitch and it works good with my Fransgard winch.

Also i finally figured out the quick hitch. Dont know if yours has the adjustable top link, but i just made a bushing for the winch side and then flipped the hook over. I have to re-pin in the hook every time, but thats still better than having to hook up the entire thing. qh 1.jpg qh 2.jpg

Very nice. That square tube fits nice. Being able to use quick hitch is a big deal! I had my winch hooked up for a couple hours the other day and it was convenient.

edit- now I see - you do not have a cutting edge but could bolt one in in those holes. Much simpler explanation than my first attempt.

My Farmi is much older, and just has the legs. I wish I had the butt plate for skidding downhill on icy roadways.

Flamestead it pulls great but the holes bother me, if not for some kind of edge for digging into frozen ground/ice then what? Farmi has nothing on there site and the dealer doesn't know. I'm just wondering what others with new Farmi are seeing/hearing. Thanks for the response

I don't have a winch but looking at the pictures how that could be for anything besides a cutting edge has me scratching my head.
Guessing it must be for some sort of edge or maybe some teeth to dig in. I do wonder if it was for a cutting edge that there would be a couple holes closer to the outside edges.

If the holes bother you then get creative and add a cutting edge or a few teeth maybe.
    It would bother me too.

So jealous! No direct experience here, but Farmi and Wallenstein both have excellent reputations.

No problem- looks like a fairly recent option because most of the pictures online of your model do not have those holes. That’s a nice winch and should last you a good, long time!

I looked last week and did not see it, I email NE Implements tonight to see about getting one, probably hear back tomorrow.. Not that I plan on doing a lot of grading with the winch but just to fill those holes...
