    What I don't get is why someone would build an amazing pellet mill like that when all the fiber around it is sub par for pellets ?? Poplar and Birch .....

    Birch makes great pellets. I only use poplar for the biomass combustor, not pellets. There's a few other species to avoid too. But it looks like their plan was to make industrial pellets.
