Yes sir, my 441 just showed up on huskihl door step. Good things happen when he gets his sausages on a saw. It’s only important if you want to save seconds on every cut that saw makes. It’s nice in my spruce to be able to cut 10ish rounds per minute vs 5-7. Time savings adds up quickly. Wait until you have a ported saw and square grind chain....you will save time.
Well, we finally finished the clean up job in town today. A load of smaller stuff from the top of the big hickory. Still had a little left for the next load. Got the rest of the hickory top and then got most of the oak tree blow down. Probably bring the tractor home tomorrow and get to processing...need a few dry days...been in the upper 60's and rainy.
For the minute. It's said you can't have all 4 seasons in one week. GA laughs and says, "hold my sweet tea and watch this"....
Maybe it'll be north of you, but I've heard lots of rain and potential flooding on the way. I hope you don't get sogged down, with all the cleanup that you have to do. Getting Biblical down there!

My hunny and I got busy yesterday. A friend and repeat customer needed a cord delivered to restock what he has burned. Lord blessed us with good weather, just a sprinkle of rain. The back of the rack, the light colored wood is hickory we've had split for awhile. The darker wood is oak from 1yr old logs that we CSS yesterday. Got it all on there. Wound up about 1/3 hickory and 2/3 oak. Been a good year so far.
Beautiful load, that would be worth some coin up here. Do many people down there burn wood as their main or only heat source? Seems like it would be easy to do, all that great hardwood and mild winters.
Thank you. We have a few people that do. Some others burn occasionally, but a lot of folks would rather turn on the thermostat...like you say, mild winter, they can afford the has or electric. I love my wood heat.
Good job there, looks neat. I prefer my wood heating over someones elses fuel/gas anytime of the day. Never had hickory... well some of my tools got an hickory handle. That ole hickory wind:
My friend and neighbor, Mike , helped us today. Well, we finally got a chance to go over to this property and get these oaks that were given to us. Rain stopped us before we finished. Hope to get a video of the steep hill we have navigate, one reason the logs are cut 6' long.
