    Question.... (wildwest)

We got a neighbor cat that’s a outside cat. Well him and our inside cats have established a friendship, if you will. But now he’s starting to spray the house & my wood box...... how does one keep him doing such?

I was reading that citrusy smells can keep them from doing such?

Darn, I'm sorry, cat urine is the WORST!! I'm afraid I don't know :emb:, this is my first experience with stray cats and outdoor cats.

We had a cat door on the enclosed porch, then another from there to the garage. Other dumped, stray/wild cats began using the doors and had a couple pizzing fights in both the porch and the garage so I locked it down. Got a cat door that only opens for a programmed microchipped cats, our Lila wildcat that we took in. Fortunately they are not spraying my house or yard like your situation.

Sounds like a tough position to be in with a neighbors cat, I would not appreciate. Have to wonder if there is some claiming of territories or harems or other cat world hierarchy stuff going on. Is he new? If not too old maybe getting him fixed might help? I would try cat repellents too. FIL in California had a neighbor cat using his front door planter as a litter box, he rigged up electric fence wired in a grid pattern in his planter with some success.

Yea last summer. He started as a inside cat, but started to scratch up his furniture. So he made him a outside cat. He's a cute cat and very loveable, we call him Cypress (our cat) look like... But this habit, I'm not liken. And the smell gets worse on warm day...

Love the baying of the hounds. Thankfully it is a bit quieter than that when campinspecter or I come home unless we ring the door bell before getting in the house.

Spot and Rainey were taking a nap when I came in and set the laundry basket on the bed. Their stare is of the, "How dare you interrupt?" variety
