No, but a few winters ago, it never got above freezing for the whole month of February. So the snow never slid off the roof, just turned to ice. It actually bent the roof edge in a few places, and cracked one of the PVC stacks.

Current temp 9°F which is our forecasted low, but I think it'll be more like 0°F considering clear skies. Nice warmup tomorrow later, around 40°F with a few inches expected. That puts us around 15" in about 36 hours. Burning mixed HW tonight.

Yea freezing rain is no good. I plowed the 7"from yesterday & am leaving the 4" from last night along with what falls tomorrow just in case it ends as freezing rain. I prefer letting the rain soak in then plowing as opposed to plowing then having all ice on the drive. Wondering if these snow piles will be gone by the g2g? :D

Another day about zero... no complaints here, and we’re starting to approach 9 hours of light. Brought home some birch. 60E1E88B-9245-4CC5-BD44-DA1E9F38C6C5.png 57A77A03-F468-4E52-BFCE-AA4248A6C4CF.jpeg F92F0D77-1F83-4BB1-9113-3EB8677883FA.png

38F & partly cloudy, not bad other than a bit sloppy. Pretty much giving up on doing much skidding this winter. Supposed to get cold for the next few days. Some nights in the single digits. Maybe some hope yet. Oak in the boiler.

Down to 10 feeling like -12. Not too shabby of a temp drop in almost an hour.

I think the old bed is calling me now...… trying to block out images of opossums can be strenuous!

-22 °F / -30°C. It was up to a balmy -4°F / -20°C this afternoon with the sun shining and no wind. I dragged my self outside and cut some DED elm. 200 miles south of saskwoodburner.
