This was the end for the white pines . They were in tough shape . Always breaking limbs off . Had them topped couple years ago due to wood pecker damage. Just can't keep blowing $$ every time limb breaks off and gets hung up and have to send a climber up to get it out.
    Don't worry I gave them a big hug before the saw. 20190213_082839.jpg 20190213_082839.jpg 20190213_112736.jpg 20190213_082839.jpg 20190213_112736.jpg 20190213_123138.jpg View attachment 198660 20190213_082839.jpg 20190213_112736.jpg 20190213_122706.jpg 20190213_123138.jpg View attachment 198660 20190213_143239(0).jpg

Yeah, there were a few repeated Pix... I see why the tree was removed and looks to be done in a safe manner, which is awesome. At least it was take down by choice and not by an ice storm. Thanks for sharing.

That will make a nice pile. I like burning it. My place is surrounded by the same. I have many that are threatening my house. Kind of unnerving in a wind event!

Yeah, nice when they are smaller and don't do damage when they bust up in the wind.
I hate to cut down living healthy trees but Best to cut them down when they are half that size and plant new ones when near the home like that .
Nice to have something green in the Winter.
Young growing trees supposedly process more CO2 than mature ones so if that's true purposeful regeneration is doing the world a favor.

What? No chain saw carved bear holding a fish with an eagle flying over made out of the 10 foot stumps?

Well, I spose the tree removal was costly enough!

You will probably feel much better especially with that one that was leaning toward the house. Also now the roof will get more sun keeping the roof dry.

Yes it is a better feeling not have to worry about trees that size next to my house. The roof will be happier also no more moss and mildew crap and pine needles a foot thick up there.
My gutters will also thank me.
I would like to put another tree in its place but something smaller and more manageable and not grow to mammoth proportions.
