    They were clearing power lines with one of those here a couple years back ...fun to watch! Quite the piece of engineering!

    Here in Ashtabula county too. First Energy has been a bit more proactive in clearing trees since the Aug 2003 blackout.

    Yea they fly those on the huge ROW's down here. I couldn't imagine being the chopper pilot with that dangling below you!!

    That is the suck thing with ROW , a landowner has zero say in the maintenance that's outlined in the ROW agreement . At least around here they usually don't even have them cleared back to the max distance.

    They don't do a good job here either. We had an ice storm come through this week. I was without electric 2 days.
