Started out all full of pi- - and vinegar this morning. Cut three dead standing Red Oak all dropped clean and then winched them to the trail. Bucked the smaller one then the saw died.:( So loaded it up and back to the barn. Must have been the gas I drained it out in fresh and she is ready to go. Only thing is Jane came out and asked if I wanted to take her out for lunch and wine. Guess what I did. Tomorrow is another day :drunk:

About a third of a cord out of the smaller tree. Will go out tomorrow and bring back the other two larger trees. Should end up close to a cord when done with these.

Lets see... dropped 3 trees, winched them, bucked them, split some, dealt with gas issues all in one morning? Yeah you earned some wine and dine with your special lady.

I think he was referring to your lunch date....;)

All kidding aside, looks like great day to be gathering firewood.... You have had your fair share of dead standing oak.
