Started out all full of pi- - and vinegar this morning. Cut three dead standing Red Oak all dropped clean and then winched them to the trail. Bucked the smaller one then the saw died. So loaded it up and back to the barn. Must have been the gas I drained it out in fresh and she is ready to go. Only thing is Jane came out and asked if I wanted to take her out for lunch and wine. Guess what I did. Tomorrow is another day Split what I had and started a new pallet .
About a third of a cord out of the smaller tree. Will go out tomorrow and bring back the other two larger trees. Should end up close to a cord when done with these.
Lets see... dropped 3 trees, winched them, bucked them, split some, dealt with gas issues all in one morning? Yeah you earned some wine and dine with your special lady.
I think he was referring to your lunch date.... All kidding aside, looks like great day to be gathering firewood.... You have had your fair share of dead standing oak.
