Sad but true. I love the Clist ads that read pellet stove, brand unknown, $100 and have no picture. Makes you scratch your head. Can't fix stupid.

There are several around me that are old and been up a long time.

That is surely and old stove. Some parts may still be had (auger, blower motors, etc), but if the board went? You would likely need to repair it yourself or outsource for the repair.

There is one I may buy this weekend. It's a Magnum Baby Countryside and the guy wants $100. Supposedly has a worn out combustion blower and convection blower? But I would imagine a good cleaning and some oil (both motors in that unit get oil) it may burn again without a single penny.

Even if it needed both blowers? Your looking at less than $300 total ($200 for blowers).

I bought a Quad Castile last Spring for $300 and just painted it and installed new gaskets and sold it for $1,200 in Sept or Oct. Easy money.

My stove is probably older, but that is where quality comes in.Can't get much for the horizons, but motors not a problem. They had a unique horizontal auger/feed system that they patented, then st croix bought them, the design seems to have disappeared.Magnum not real high on my list, but a baby fixed up is doable. If I ran across a castile I would prob. keep it for my upstairs.May make an offer on the horizon just so I could study the system it used.

I have an eclipse insert in my pole barn that is worth more in scrap than its worth if sold as a working appliance. I've thought of selling it but I don't want to anyone to burn their house down.
