Got down to 14.5 °F last night. Wind finally stopped blowing this morning with clear blue sky. Burning Cherry.
- 18 overnite...78 inside. Parts of I29 closed yesterday and overnight. Bright sunshine, no wind this AM....just cold...-12 at this time. Been blowing snow, came in for coffee and check stove and furnace....both purring along....poplar, ash, and a little oak.
-12 below now 15 mph wind feels like -30. Headed to -20 tonight before little warm up for weekend. Gonna be another heavy wood burnin day for sure. Will go out later and get house and shop stocked back up. Sure looks a lot nicer outside than it is.
Getting snow. Not going to be much. Should stop soon. Started at 28* and is now dropping. By 5 am tomorrow should be down to 10 feels like -7*. 19/20 mph winds to go along with it.
Winds are 35 out of south and gusty.. That hairdryer is melting ice off of driveway Burning pine 35 degrees and dropping.. House 75 Just started snowing..
Darn near froze to death loading the groceries in the car at the store. 21* at the present with brisk winds. Stove eating some Ash mixed with a little Honey Locus. I am about at the end of my Honey Locus.
49° here, sunny, with a stiff breeze. Perfect weather to be working outside, just kind of muddy. I got more locust split & in the shed. Some compensation for that nasty wind moving our way that will keep me inside tomorrow. This has really been the winter that wasn't here on the east coast, near the ocean anyway.
It's not been a bad winter for the most part for many but I'm betting all will still be happy when spring gets here. Robins are already probably getting the itch for making that long trip north. First though comes the red-winged blackbirds.
1f now burning slabs and getting ready for -20f tonight . It's going to be another 1200 lb slab night. Sent from my LGL84VL using Tapatalk
After just shy of a week with highs up to almost 70 and the lows in the high 30’s, winters back, and it’ll be in the 20’s super early tomorrow morning... white oak is all thats in the garage so thats what she’ll burn all week!
