Another 6-8" of snowfall through the day today, now temps dropping to -10f tonight and -17f by Saturday morning. I will be hauling in and burning quite a bit of wood over the next few days.
57 here now supposed to be 25 by morning and that's about the high for tomorrow. Flash flood watch till 4 am, just started the stove back up and the thermal johns back out for tomorrow.
30F & dropping like a rock. Teens by tomorrow afternoon with lake effect snow. Wicked wind from the West breaking trees. Tomorrow could be interesting. Oak in the boiler.
Nice! I hiked into a lake ice fishing a few weeks ago and the first 20 minutes of it was steep and had overflow ice oozing down the trail. I wore something similar and it was good aside from one slip where I ended up on my back sliding.....
-1.7f with 9.6 mph wind slabs are burning You guys ever check out weathercloud.net there's a lot of weather stations to look at . Crazy stuff. Sent from my LGL84VL using Tapatalk
Warmed up a bit tonight before another dip in a day or two. Its -14c/6.8f at the moment with a big block of doug fir surrounded by larch to keep it company in the fire box. My 2600 sq ft house is nice and warm thanks to wood heat.

31 with more sleet and freezing rain overnight, supposed to get into the 40’s this afternoon. Second night in a row for that crap and yesterday was just a chitty day with snow fog and freezing mist off and on. I’ll scrape up the ice with the Kubota this afternoon before the temperature plunges tonight. 78 inside still burning last nights coals. At least it’s not super cold, hitting single digits over the weekend though.
34° here, with light rain until noon. Then the sun is supposed to appear, with a high of 50°. That's my widow to get something done outside, before the wind picks up. Judging by what's happening west of here, it'll blow pretty hard! Still burning red maple, but plenty of oak on hand for those wind chills.
42° outside this AM, no reload LN let the stove go out overnight. House was a little chilly @ 67°, threw in a bunch of pine scraps to take chill out. Headed close to 60° today before cold front moves in this afternoon with heavy winds. I have some ash I might start burning this weekend. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
-5 feeling like -25. Still getting snow-there was a good 9" last night at bed time. Continues through today but less intense.
0 degrees. Another front is coming in tonight though. Going back to -40s with windchill this afternoon
The big blow is done. Still have gusts to 38mph. Temperature at 18 and falling. Think I'll stay indoors again today.
