I dozed off a bit from 3 am to 7. Second time in a few days, I'm exhausted from being sick, sclero, and lack of sleep. I hope you get better rest tonight.

I really wish I could use that excuse, but I can't yet.

Very possibly in the same spot where all the other stuff is that got put in a "safe spot".
I think you should make a note of where your safe spot is.......just don't put the note there.:handshake: And, try to remember where you put the note, or you'll have a new safe spot.:hair:

I'll bet we've all done something similar. It will come to you though. Just relax and Heaven knows when but it will pop into your head.

Bracing ourselves for possible ice then rain then high winds. Somehow this does not sound as if it will be a nice day outside.

We have about 4" of new snow on the ground. Got our walks and our neighbor ladies walks done. It's cold but just enough to remind you its still winter.

It's one of those snows that reminds you that the rough spots in our life are only temporary. That change will come and melt them away before you know it. It's just having the patience to wait until spring that's hard. :)

I hope everyone can make the best of the day given to you.

Raining like a SOB here, just dumping buckets. Standing water everywhere....supposed to get well below freezing tonight.

Yuck! No likes for that. Raw 33° and drizzle here, but the temps are headed up, not down, 50° tomorrow.

Stay safe with all that ice that I’m sure you’ll get. We had rain and 35° last night. No ice, which was great.

We had a 2-3 day thaw, now we're back in the teens at night, which means all that snow that melted is now our usual Jan-Feb skating arena.....AKA, gravity accelerator.
Two nights ago, I saw some headlights coming down the road (the slightly sloped part) which went sideways, then straight, then sideways, then straight..........you get the idea. Guy was lucky to not end up in the swamp down there. Yesterday morning, our mailman, AKA "Speed Racer" backed out of our driveway and gunned it. Didn't stand a chance. He headed straight for the ditch, and that's where he ended up.
He had to call for a tow.
We got another couples inches on top of the ice, but I guess he didn't pay attention to the weather. At least we got our mail first.:dex:
I went to the local store this morning and bought Lotto, an English roast (thought we had one in the freezer, but nope), and some drywall mud before the sleet hit real bad. We're in the house probably through the weekend.
Roast for dinner to boot.

No outside work for me today. All I did was roll a log out of my car onto the lawn.
But, I've got my eye on some small trees (oak and pine) that Asplundh cut and left (so far) right at the entrance to the dump. It was part of some utility pole replacement work. The chipper was parked there yesterday and now it's gone, looks like they chipped the brush but not the logs. The wood is outside the dump fence and gate, but right to the side of the dump turnoff, off the main road. I'm thinking early Sunday morning, if they're still there...
