Ooh, that looks so good. I had a very ripe pear. Gladys Knight Star Spangled Banner was absolutely amazing.
Chili, jalapeno peppers, and some chicken wings for dinner. Guess I had to eat a lil crow after the 4th quarter. I said there was no way they were making it to the game, never mind winning it.
The half time show and the adds used to be on the cutting edge. No longer true, the PC police are as thick as frosting on a cake. Companies can't risk it. Already the corn farmers are said to be offended by Bud light no longer using corn syrup in their beer making. As for the National Anthem, I wish they used a soldier to sing it the way it was written. Professional performers are allowed to exercise an amount 'creative liberty" when they perform. So much so that it is a ways off from being as written.
I heard that on the radio today about the corn syrup, I just shook my head. You’re right about the pc police, it’s really silly. It doesn’t matter who they use for the halftime show, you will never satisfy everyone watching. Some years I enjoy it some years I don’t. For me this year was a boring game, commercials and halftime show.
I don't know of anyone here in Iowa saying they want corn syrup in beer. That came from the Corn Association and not one post I've seen wants corn syrup in beer. Funny that commercial came from a company that uses rice in their beer, and corn syrup in their other light beers...just not Bud Light.
They have to use some kind of sugar for the fermenting process. The sugar is essentially no longer there when the fermenting process is complete. Of course, the corn industry would like you to use corn sugar, not beet sugar, rice sugar or cane sugar.
They don't have too as the Germans traditionally (Purity Law) only use barley, hops, yeast and water, but most other beers do add some type of sugar.
Added sugar, there's sugar in barley. Starch if you want to get technical and picky. You need "sugar" like dextrose, maltose or fructose of some sort.
