The offer is very much appreciated. I have access to an infinite supply of pallets around the corner from the office. I think I've come up with a way that I can dump the load that is in the truck/trailer next to where it needs to get stacked without handling it twice.
That includes the house, but it's actually 6500 square feet which is a tad over 1/7 acre -- 0.149 acres doesn't have the same ring to it.
It is a friends farm...about 45 minutes unloaded, an hour plus loaded. If it weren't for what the glaciers did to our landscape, it would be half that. Hauling dry wood would be much preferable as there is a lot of vertical on that drive.
You have the truck for it, you just need a bigger dump! A couple hour round trip when you can only haul a cord or two and burn eight is a lot of driving!
I get two on between the truck and trailer. I'm not sure I'd want much more weight on driving those hills anyway. I have a big flatbed that I can throw sides on if I decide to dry out there before I haul home. Although, its always nice to have an excuse to go hang out at the farm
Finally closed this story out tonight...with the trailer empty, its time to go find some dry wood for next season
