Took a short rice around some of the property today. Looking at all the work I’ve got coming up. Not to mention all the logs I picked up last summer off the side of the road. Anywho, I knew there was a group of people who would enjoy my misery. The first ones a big ol widow maker. Fortunately I’m not married so it will be a breeze. What inspires me is the tree it shattered on the way down. A decent size hickory and very rare around here. Never burned any hickory except for some small saplings (twigs) Can’t imagine the force required to turn a hickory into toothpicks. Enjoy you crazy,,,,,,folks The standing dead in the next pic are actually on State Property. Pic taken from mine, they’re that close. I’d grab em if I needed em but,,,,, Large swathes of the state property are all standing dead now. Gypsy moths. The previous pic is the only damage I got from the worms. 3-4 trees. Crazy how that works. Few more I get to play with.
Seems to have booted some of the pics and attached others. Oh well, wouldn’t want you to go blind LOL
What you waiting for man! Sunshine & just a dusting of snow, I'd be out there sawin like a fool before the bugs, heat, & rain. Nice property to BTW.
I’ve got so much to do I don’t know where to start LOL Built this wood trailer and all of a sudden the wood heavens opened up. Got logs coming out of my ears. All the way back to the tree line Older pic, there’s more where that came from now and some logs in my yard from the wet season. Couldn’t drive anywhere to put them haha Always cut during the winter. Hauled logs home last summer. It’s not so bad if you start early and quit by lunch. Retirement is key.
Oh, boy, i see a lot of fun, couple of sharp chains, lots of mixed gas, oil for the bar, mmmmm mmmmmmm i'd love to be in the middle of that cutting wood!!
