    I think the cold front has arrived here with a persistent wind that is a bit gusty, but mostly just a steady loud whooshing and hissing through the trees, and it is pretty darn cold. Temp dropped from -6f at 5am to current temp of -16f, dropping to at least -25f with -50f windchill by morning. We are cozy by the hearth at the moment.

    The poor cardinals at feeders have ruffled feathers in the wind right now.

    I am bringing my car jumper to work at the clinic the next few days just in case it is needed for me or one of my colleagues.

    Showed up here around 10:00 this morning. I was out moving snow with the shovel (against 99's judgement-my back is still no where near what it should be) and all of a sudden, the wind started like someone threw a switch on!

    -20f and dropping steady now. Windchill is -47f.

    Our boys 21 and 24 are going to a movie together tonight with their dates. I don't think they have payed any attention at all to the weather report, but just said it is cold and don't care.

    My wife and I didn't say a thing other than "have fun." Our parents wouldn't have said a thing either because cold was never an excuse not to do anything if prepared, and most importantly there were no weather terrorists on TV.

    So I woke up to a flat tire on my audi.

    All 4 Tires are new this late fall. I'll look at it tomorrow. Hopefully it's a small repairable puncture.

    I took the 4runner to work. Tomorrow I work from home again.

    Just above freezing here with over cast skies. No rain. It has been a nice couple of days. We have had a high pressure system sitting over us. Towards the end of the week we get brushed with a low moving north east.
    Middle of the week work day. Things have been a bit quiet at work. Lots of flu like illnesses going around. I finally got over my cold. I have never had a cold that long before.

    Stupid cold outside. All public buildings except the post offices are closed.

    Just printed off boarding passes for tomorrow....gonna be a lot warmer in the Caribbean.

    Most all of but all deliveries by UPS FedEx and truck lines are not shipping. This goes beyond SE Wisconsin as I have trucks in Ohio that are not running due to the cold.

    Our offices have closed too now. Our server is still working, so I can work remotely, for now. Apparently that may change soon.
